Oxford City secured their first ever victory in the fifth tier in emphatic style after thrashing Boreham Wood 4-0 at the RAW Charging Stadium.

Nya Kirby grabbed his first goal for the Hoops with Josh Parker going on to double the lead. 

Olly Sanderson also grabbed his first goal since re-joining the club on-loan from Fulham, before Zac McEachran put the icing on the cake with a fourth.

Despite taking the pre-season title favourites all the way at the RAW Charging Stadium, Oxford City were beaten 2-1 by Chesterfield.

Josh Parker's cushioned volley had cancelled out Tom Naylor's header in the first-half, and City were good value for a point on the night. However, a late goal from Will Grigg rescued the visitors all three points.

Ian Henderson's 71st minute winner was the difference at the RAW Charging Stadium as Oxford City were beaten by a recently relegated Rochdale. 

The Dale finally broke through a resilient Hoops defence to pick up their first three points of the season, after having efforts cleared off the line by Andre Burley & Tom Harrison.
